The Philippine Society of Sexual and Reproductive Health Nurses (PSORHN) was one of the organizations that participated in the Youth Steering Committee of the 7th APCRSHR. Thanks to their efforts in tandem with the other organizations present at the conference, the event was a rousing success.

Keep the #7APCRSHR torch burning!

Ten (10) parallel sessions gathered at the 7th Asia Pacific Conference on Reproductive and Sexual Health and Rights (7APCRSHR) Youth Fair to discuss the 2014 Manila Challenge. The Youth Fair aimed to discuss views from different countries in order to come up with a declaration of unity for the advancement of Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) for all. According to Brayant Gonzales of the Family Planning Organization of the Philippines, the Manila Challenge is the final outcome document of the 7APCRSHR. It is the collaborative output of the delegates who strongly believe in an urgent call for SRHR for all.

At the Youth Conference young delegates and scholars discussed various issues pertaining to SRHR in round-table discussions, including sexual orientation and gender identity, social enterprise, and disability.

The #7APCRSHR Youth Fair, held during the Youth Conference, gave youth scholars and delegates a chance to discuss SRHR issues in a more intimate setting. In a series of small, round-table discussions participants of the Youth Fair talked about how SRHR is integrated in social enterprise, sustainable development, youth leadership, sexual orientation and gender identity, and several other concerns. Anzaira Roxas, a member of the Youth Steering Committee, shared her experience as a volunteer and facilitated the discussion regarding SRHR and humanitarian response.
Speakers discussed Education concerns in the Plenary Session during the Youth Conference. The speakers were CSO/Development Partner Justine Sass, UNESCO, Bangkok and Jecel Tandoc Censoro, Checkmyschool, Philippines.
